First and foremost I want to ask you a question, are you living your life. I mean like ‘your life’. The life you planned out to live when you were a mere age of six. As we progress in life we are faced with so many unfavorable situations and circumstances that pushes us away from our passion, our principles and purpose and as time passes by we forget who we are and start living for our situations and circumstances instead of ourselves.
Some of us blame our parents, loved ones,
situations or fate for this unfortunate turn of events and we often forget that
it is us who made the final call and took the choice. It is us who decided to
take on this path citing one reason or the other. It is us who decided we
should do this. It is us who decided we can do this. Life’s has bestowed its
greatest strength on you ‘giving you a choice’ then why take it half-heartedly.
Do things that makes you genuinely happy.
There are so many ways in which taking a
half-hearted decision can affect you. ‘Regrets’, possibly the saddest word in English
language. Doing something or giving up something for a person that genuinely
makes you happy is one thing but when it doesn’t it turns into regrets and gets
buried deep down into your soul.
When you half-heartedly give up something
for someone the negativity that gets stored in you turns to that person. You tend
to see them as the reason that you gave up everything they become your source
of pain and regret every time you look at them you see a reason you gave up
your dreams.
You don’t give your best when you do anything
with half-a-heart and just imagine how your life would be if you start living
half-heartedly. Half-hearted decisions makes you bad at what you do and how you
do. You never give your best and in the process you lose yourself, your aspirations,
dreams, strengths, principles everything. And isn’t life all about finding yourself?
And finally when you don’t live the life
you intended on living you impose it on your children just like your parents
did. Not every time you achieve what you dream of but you never know the value
of trying and inching closer to your dream unless you actually do. To do
something that actually fuels your soul and makes you happy. The devastation
caused by failure can be overcomed but never a regret of missing a chance or an
opportunity. There is an extreme level of satisfaction in trying and failing
that no one can express. But when you don’t it turns into regret which turns to
guilt and that eats you.
Speak to your parents or friends or spouses
when you don’t feel like doing something and want to do something else. If they
truly love you they will understand, they will always understand but it will
take a lot of patience and perseverance and never doubt yourself in the
process. Bet on yourself whole-heartedly. Living a life you don’t like will
only make things worse. The reason we are all different because we all have
some unique magic in us that help us make this world a better place in a way
that only we can. Time is the greatest healer of all time it can heal
misunderstandings, fights, arguments but never regrets.
Life is a beautiful process, a long
process, a magical process and it teaches different things to different people
so don’t live someone else’s life when you can live yours. Don’t burn out
mid-way, don’t compete, indulge in your own process make your own destiny,
battle your fears, insecurities every possible curve ball that life throws on
you for you are a Warrior, your strength lies in your patience, understanding,
acceptance, ambition. Your strength lies in your belief in yourself. Don’t let
the fear of future burden your present. Live life like it’s meant to be, with a
full heart.
When you are on a journey and you end up choosing between two roads take the one that you think makes you happy and you want to take because at the end of the day when you are in you death bed the only question that arises in your mind is did you live ‘your’ life? Were you happy living it? When you can’t answer that then what’s the whole point?
